Built for the dancefloor.
As a British-born musician with Caribbean roots, music has always been a central part of SG’s life. His passion was heavily influenced by his father, a professional drummer who toured across Europe performing a unique blend of reggae and rock.
At 16, SG discovered the UK urban music scene, particularly Drum & Bass and UK Garage. As bassline began gaining momentum across the Midlands and Northern England, SG recognised an opportunity to make his mark.
Collaborating with MNT and Sub Zero, SG released “Hmm Yess”, which became a favourite among DJs and club-goers and featured on Sounds of the Bassline 2, a mixtape that sold over 100,000 copies and achieved Gold status.
Building on that success, SG teamed up with Slick Don and producer Bass Boy to create “Oh Yesss”, featured on the Supa Dupa compilation album, helping establish him as one of the recognisable voices in bassline.
SG has performed at major UK urban music events including Sidewinder Festival, Nass Festival and Nice Underground Festival, as well as iconic venues such as Printworks London and Ministry of Sound.
With support from 1Xtra, Kiss FM, Rinse FM and Pyro Radio, SG has built his career independently through dedication, networking and consistent music releases.
Recent projects include “Too Deep” with Screama, Trulee and Club Friendly Records, plus garage-focused releases including “Them Days” and “Good Vibes” with Tuff Culture. His collaboration work with Hans Glader continues to push his sound further.
A major highlight came when “Birmingham Crew”, produced by Hybrid Theory and featuring SG alongside Trilla Jemaine Trilloski, was played during the Commonwealth Games and broadcast on national television.
Through hard work, consistency and passion, SG has established himself as a respected figure within bassline and UK Garage, continuing to create music that represents UK underground culture.
